GGZ and HI3 never had such a direct relationship inside their main canon story. Other than that, Welt mentions multiple times the world of HI3 in HSR, and brings up concepts such as Honkai and how it differs from Aeons. This was already established in the Alien Space Manga when Welt and Void Archives infiltrated the Sky People's ship and saw a photo of HSR Himeko. Meanwhile, HSR is an expansion of the HI3 world. Both GGZ and HI3 told their own story completely independently of each other from the exact same starting point. The difference here is that we never had any direct interaction between the two games.
